The Meridian Education Resource Group, Inc. d/b/a/ Whitefoord Community Program is a non-profit organization established in July 1995 to address the needs of children and families served by the Whitefoord Elementary School Health Clinic. Within six months of implementing the clinic, the WCP was developed under the direction of the late Dr. George Brumley, retired Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics at Emory University and Dr. Veda Johnson, Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Emory University.
Whitefoord Community Program has evolved over the years to address the important issues of increased access to healthcare, early childhood development, quality afterschool and summer programs; and family education and employment.
