Our Summer Reading Program is designed to improve test scores and reduce reading deficiencies of elementary school students. Our program provides structured reading and enrichment activities for first through fifth grade students to intercept the decline in national and state reading scores.

For eight weeks, with no more than 12 students in each class, participants are paired with State Certified Reading Teachers to help elevate their reading level and test scores.

The Criterion Reference Competency Test (CRCT) and Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS) are administered to third and fifth grade students and because the performance on these tests directly influence students' promotion to the next grade level.
